Product Relations
Product relations in their simplest form are a means of associating a product in the PIM with other products. The nature of these relationships can be customized to suit your particular business needs. Leveraging customized product relations will require external development resources such as one of our partners.
The Relations Tab
The Product Relations Tab is the control center for relations at the product level. From here you can add a new relation, edit an existing one, including attribute values if applicable or remove an existing relation. NOTE: you can also add a product relation quickly from the sidebar or see existing relations, but to edit attribute values you need to use the Relations Tab.
Add a Relation
- Configure product relations from the Relation Type Menu
- Navigate to the Product Relations Tab
- Click Add Relation
- Choose a Relation Type from the first drop down
- Search for a Product by its Name and click it
- Select Save Relation
Add Attributes to a Relation
- Configure a product relation from the Relation Type Menu and include an attribute set
- Repeat Steps 2-6 for adding a relation (above)
- Click the Attributes Button beside the Delete button on the relation
- You can now set the desired attributes on the Relation in Question
- Click Save when finished.
Remove a Relation
- Navigate to the Product Relations Tab
- On the Relation in question, click the Delete button
- Click Confirm
